Events in, actions out.
Stripe sends webhook events when things happen: a payment fails, a subscription is cancelled, a checkout completes. Agents react to those events instead of polling.
We use restricted API keys limited to the resources the build needs, typically read access to customers, invoices, subscriptions and charges.
What agents do in Stripe.
A personal, helpful message when a card fails, before the subscription lapses.
Reasons for cancellation collected and summarised.
MRR, new, churned and failed payments, weekly with comments.
Payments attributed to partners for the commission engine.
Disputes and unusual refunds flagged to finance.
How access works.
Agents read payment data; they don't move money.
What it costs.
All prices excl. VAT. "From" covers a standard scope; your fixed quote comes from the Blueprint. Model and messaging fees (for example WhatsApp per-message charges from Meta) depend on volume and are estimated in the Blueprint.
Common questions.
Can the agent issue refunds?
Not by default. It can prepare a refund for a person to approve; the refund is then made in Stripe by your team.
Does it see card numbers?
No. Stripe never exposes full card numbers through the API.
Can it calculate affiliate commissions?
Yes, as input to a commission engine like the one in our Partner Portal; payouts are always approved by finance.
